# Triple DES Encrypt & Decrypt Online

Online tool to perform encryption and decryption using Triple DES algorithm

About Triple DES

Triple DES is a symmetric-key block cipher based on DES (Data Encryption Standard). For each data blocks, it applies DES chiper three times. DES' 56-bit key length was sufficient at the the algorithm made. However, with the increasing computation speed, brute force attack is very possile. Therefore, Triple DES uses a "key bundle" that comprises three DES keys, K1, K2 and K3, each of 56 bits (excluding parity bits).

The encryption algorithm is:

ciphertext = Encrypt_{K3}(Decrypt_{K2}(Encrypt_{K1}(plaintext)))

Description algorithm is reverse of the encryption algorithm:

plaintext = Decrypt_{K1}(Encrypt_{K2}(Decrypt_{K3}(ciphertext)))
